Smart devices need or updated on the market TODAY

What Smart devices need to come to the market or updated?

All the products need to be built to support Wi-Fi; the other protocols have a short-range. NO HUBS NEEDED!!!

  • Smart Nightlights– Nightlights have a light sensor in them, but they often turn on when not needed. I have 10 to 12 of them in my home, so I don’t have to turn on the lights at night. This also helps if you have little ones that get out of there room at night and can’t turn on light switches yet. This is also a safety feature if you have guests, and they don’t know where light switches are. Also, give your home a look of being worth more as you have lighting that helps in more ways than one. You can buy non-smart nightlights at this link.
    • I would like to see a nightlight with these options.
      • Hook to Wi-Fi
      • Have a light sensor, but it can be turned off. I have some dark spots in my home during the day, and the lights stay on and waste power.
      • Have it so you can set an on and off time and it keeps the time if the internet is out
      • Have it so the LEDs can be set to a different level of brightness
      • Add a motion sensor for when its movement will turn on to full brightness, and then when the motion is gone, it will go to a lower setting. Also, make it so it can be turned off.
      • Add a backup battery and when it's being used Wi-Fi will turn off so the battery will last longer
      • make sure you can give each one a device name

  • Smart Mailboxes– Package theft is at an all-time high, and people love to push mailboxes to the max. I get deliveries and see that they left it in my mailbox, and I get to it and wonder how in the hell did they fit that in there.
    •  I would like to see this a Smart Mailbox with these features in it
      • Built-in the lid and walls a sensor to show when its opened or closed
      • Underneath the mailbox or built into the post, it sits on the battery, 120v option, Camera, motion detector, Wi-Fi card, NIC Port, and or SD Card. Have the items locked in a box built into it the base of the box or the post.
      • When it detects motion, it will start recording
      • When the door opens or closes, it will start recording
      • Have it send SMS and or alerts for a phone that the door was opened or closed
      • make sure you can give each one a device name
  • Smart Surge Protectors for Behind TV or other areas– there are some on the market, but they don’t have the space required for some plugs, or you have to use extensions that make it look bad. All the ones I'm finding are for small types of plugs and not the big type of plugs.
    • All the Surge or Power Strips need to have.
      • Power Monitor Features by outlet and as a whole
      • Each outlet can be turned on-off
      • Each USB port can be turned on-off
      • Make sure to have USB Ports for Power
      • Have a manual on-off button for each outlet
      • Have a Full Power Strip on-off button
      • Support Small,  Large Plugs and flat plugs
      • Tv's have a lot of room behind them, so you don't have to try to make it so small
      • Have easy mounting options
      • If the strip is designed like this and the price is more but has the features above users will pay to get it as it will work the best
      • make sure you can give each one a device name

  • Smart-UPS Devices– I love having UPS devices as we have power outages more then I would like. I work from home and need a lot of my devices to work so I can keep making money. One problem I run into is I put the UPS up high on walls or in the ceilings, and when I need to reboot some device, it takes some work to do. With everything using the internet or apps, you have a greater need to have devices with power when the power goes out.
    • I would like to see these options in UPS’s
      • Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity
      • Wifi to connect to the app so you can control it from any place
      • Bluetooth for when WiFi is down, and you don’t want to get a ladder out to reset something
      • Have easy mounting options
      • All have options to add additional batteries to extend the run time
      • make sure you can give each one a device name
  • Smart Cabinet Locks– I would love to have some Smart Cabinet Locks for my kitchen with the kids, drawers in my room, and my bathroom. I have tried some, and they are cheap and don’t work well.
    • What I would like to see
      • Battery Powered devices
      • A direct wire power option but its more made to be installed when the item is being built
      • Linked to Wifi, Bluetooth, and NFC
      • WiFi so it can be open with App, Alexa or Google
      • Bluetooth for when wifi or power is out
      • NFC so they can just touch their phone to the outside of the door, and it would unlock
      • If the door is pulled open an alarm on the device would sound
      • Have an option to auto-lock
      • Have an option to turn off the lock
      • Have an option to auto-lock after a set period
      • Keeps Kids Safe, Keeps the items in it safe, keeps other people out of your items
      • Have it built to last
      • make sure you can give each one a device name
Smart Load Centers
  • Smart Dual Switches- Older houses have switches that look like this, and unless you spend a lot of money getting a bigger box put in, you have to support them. Make Smart Switches that will support 2, 3, or 4 circuits.

  • Smart Old Fashion Pull Lights- These devices are really old but still used all the time. Basements, attics, crawl spaces, storage rooms, and a lot more places. I know I forget to turn them off all the time, and it sucks when the pull string breaks. They need to be made into a smart version where if they pull the string, it turns on and off, or if they turn it on or off with the app, they can still pull the string to get it back on. Cree Smart Bulbs IF you turn them on, then off then on again, they turn on. That's cool as sometimes I don't use Alexa or the smart app to control them.
Light bulb replacement
  • Smart Fan/Light Switches- Older and newer homes have switches like this to control ceiling fans and its light from one location and one switch. We need a Smart Fan/Light switch to replace the old fashion switches. The light switch needs to be a dimmer and a or a regular switch all in one.

My thoughts and opinions: no one is paying me to promote their products. This means no company is paying me to give them good reviews. I’m not going to play that game of we’ll provide you with cash, products, referrals, and so on if you give us good reviews. If a company feels like giving me money, products, or referrals, then good for them. This will not change how I review their products. If I think the product is Good, I will promote it as a tested product that I stand behind as it should work fine for you. I have no problem saying what’s good, bad, needs fixed, or added to the product.
