LOVE IT!!! Brings me back to my childhood when shows didn't suck!
I love that it includes my favorite shows as a kid, and my own kids’ favorite shows! One happy father here!
Our Verdict
First off, to all the haters giving Disney+ BAD reviews, go back to the cave you came from. Also, you need to get your head checked to see if you have a brain.
This app is bringing millions of adults back to the “good old days”of being a child when tv shows and cartoons didn’t suck.
If you didn’t think they would have system issues on launch day, you must live under a rock. Amazon and Microsoft systems go down sometimes, so why would you think that Disney wouldn’t have this issue as well?
A word of advice to Disney, get moving on getting all the missing content on the platform. Also PLEASE buy other old cartoons and add them too. If you want more sales, old cartoons will bring grown-ass adults to the platform even faster.
A little bit about our household: I’m 35, have a beautiful better half named Stephanie and we have two kids. Colin is 1, and Addie is 3. And can I just say, WOW! Life sure has changed with kids!
We have:
- 6 Apple TV boxes
- No Comcast TV
- 1GB Down 35 MB Up from Internet from Comcast
- Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Disney+, CBS All Access, Philo, Prime Video, Amazon Music and Locast
- My Apple Movie collection is at 553 movies. (Yes, I realize that’s a lot of movies and A LOT of money I’ve spent.)
- iPads, iPhones, Smart Tv’s, Echo Shows, Echo Plus, Echo Dot, Echo Sub, Smart Switches, and so on. I have a Smart Home that I can control almost everything on with my voice or app.
With Disney+, I can relive my childhood and get to see other movies that haven’t been around in years. I like the navigation screen better than any other platform I’ve used. The content for launch day is massive and grand. My biggest concern is that it’s still too early to tell what all is going to happen with it. But for sure, Disney+ will stay if I ever end up dropping some streaming services.
I’m looking forward to more content and I’m hoping they will buy some other companies to bring old movies and cartoons on the platform. When you think of Saturday or Sunday morning cartoons, you think of Disney. Maybe Disney will become home for a lot more cartoons.
This is how we use the different streaming services in our home:
Netflix has a lot of content, but it’s getting annoying to me. I only like Stranger Things and Stephanie likes The Rain, and that is it. It’s not worth $15.99 anymore, and they keep raising the price. I do have others in my family that watch it more than I do, but they agree it’s losing the appeal. But my kids still love Netflix because it has DreamWorks productions like Dragons Race to The Edge, Trolls: The Beat Goes On, Boss Baby: Back in Business, and Dawn Of The Croods. If anything, it has become more for my kids than for anyone else in the house. The Netflix Original content is becoming overwhelming on the main screen and taking away from me wanting to use it or search for something. I think they are overdoing it with a lot of crappy original content.
AppleTv+ The only show I like is SEE, but it is free for me. Only time will tell if it’s going to get any better. I do like when searching in Apple TV it will look at the other apps installed and see if what your searching for is on it.
Hulu I don’t use much, but others in the house do.
CBS All Access I need my NCIS.
Philo You get 20+ channels for $20/Month. It has Paw Patrol and a few other channels we all watch.
Prime Video I don’t use much, but others in the house do. Free for Amazon Prime Customers.
Locast You get all the local airwave channels for FREE
Our Verdict- I will be updating this review over time, but for sure, at $6.99 a month, it’s well worth it.
Disney + will be around forever and will only get better over time. You can’t beat the excellent content and old cartoons. The price is fantastic for what you get.

My thoughts and opinions: no one is paying me to promote their products. This means no company is paying me to give them good reviews. I’m not going to play that game of we’ll provide you with cash, products, referrals, and so on if you give us good reviews. If a company feels like giving me money, products, or referrals, then good for them. This will not change how I review their products. If I think the product is Good, I will promote it as a tested product that I stand behind as it should work fine for you. I have no problem saying what’s good, bad, needs fixed, or added to the product.
